What a Change of Account Mode Leaves Untouched · Tanzania

Moving an Exness account to swap-free changes one accrual. Everything else about the account goes on behaving exactly as it did, and that list is the longer one.

Moving an Exness account to swap-free changes one thing: on eligible instruments the overnight swap is not applied. Everything else the account does stays where it was — the contract specification of each symbol, whether that symbol is accepting orders, the way margin level is calculated, the automatic closure the server applies against it, the order types available and the verified identity attached to the account. Some instruments may carry a fixed administration fee in place of swap after a number of days.

What is not switched off along with the accrual

Changed by the mode, and everything that is not

Part of the accountChanged by moving to swap-free
Overnight swap on eligible instrumentsYes — not applied
Contract specification of a symbolNo
Whether a symbol accepts ordersNo
How margin level is calculatedNo
Automatic closure by the serverNo
Order types and protective levelsNo
Account number and base currencyNo
Verified identity on the accountNo

A mode is one setting, not a different product

It is tempting to read a change of mode as a change of account. It is not. The record keeps its number, its base currency and its history, and every rule that was being applied to it before the change goes on being applied afterwards.

The single altered item is an accrual, and it is altered by omission rather than by replacement: on eligible instruments it is simply not applied. Nothing is switched on in its place, and nothing else in the account is rewired to accommodate it.

The rules that never read the account mode

Most of what governs a position lives on the instrument, not on the account. Contract size, price step and whether the symbol is accepting orders at all are the same for every account that touches that symbol, in any mode.

The rest lives on the server and is applied uniformly. Margin level is computed from the same figures, automatic closure is applied against it on the same basis, and the order types available are the ones the platform offers to anybody. None of these consult the mode before acting.

Why the unchanged list is the useful one

A list of what changed is short and easy to remember. A list of what did not change is what actually predicts behaviour after the switch, because everything on it will keep happening exactly as it did before — including while nobody is signed in.

That is the practical reading: a mode change is not a reason to re-learn the account. It is a reason to know precisely which single accrual stopped, and to leave every other expectation in place.

Frequently asked questions

Does moving to swap-free change how margin level is calculated?
No. Margin level is computed from the same figures and automatic closure is applied against it on the same basis, in either mode.
Does a swap-free account see different contract specifications?
No. Contract size, price step and point value belong to the symbol and are the same for every account that trades it.
Does the account number or base currency change with the mode?
No. Both stay exactly as they were, and so does the verified identity attached to the account.
Are order types affected by the mode?
No. Market orders, pending orders, stop loss and take profit behave identically.
What exactly stops being applied?
The overnight swap, on eligible instruments. Some instruments may carry a fixed administration fee in its place after a number of days.
Does a symbol closed to new orders reopen on a swap-free account?
No. Whether a symbol is accepting orders is a property of the instrument and does not read the account mode.
