An Exness Account Between Your Visits

A month away changes less than it looks. Part of the arrangement keeps running on the broker side; part of it simply waits until somebody acts.

Most of an Exness account does not depend on your attention. Positions and pending orders are held on the broker servers and keep their levels; margin level and automatic closure keep being applied; approved verification stays approved; and no inactivity fee is charged for a quiet month. What genuinely waits is everything that needs somebody to act — closing or editing a trade, replacing a document that reached its expiry, and changing account settings.

The account is a record, not a program

The account exists as a record kept by the broker. MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, the browser platform and the phone app are windows onto that record; none of them is the place where it is stored. Closing a window changes what is visible, not what exists.

That is why an account behaves the same whether it is watched all day or not opened for weeks. The record is moved by the market and by the rules attached to the account type, and both of those keep working while the screen is dark.

What a month of silence does not do

A quiet month does not cancel pending orders, does not close open positions, does not reset a verified identity and does not shrink the balance on its own. It also does not remove the account: no inactivity fee is applied to it.

What a quiet month can do is let the market carry a position a long way from where it was left, because automatic closure is applied by the server rather than by the person who opened the trade. Reading the current margin level is therefore the first useful thing to do on returning, before anything is touched.

The part that will not happen by itself

Nothing about the account rearranges itself. A document that reached its expiry is replaced because somebody replaced it; a password changes because somebody changed it; an additional trading account appears because somebody opened one. The passing of a month does none of these things.

The same holds for the record of what happened. A history that looks unfamiliar after a long gap is not a history that drifted — it is a history nobody has read yet, and reading it is the only step that was ever skipped.

Coming back after a long gap

  1. Read the margin level first — it says how close the account stands to automatic closure.
  2. Look at which pending orders are still sitting there and whether any of them triggered in the meantime.
  3. Compare balance with equity: the distance between them is the result the market produced without you.
  4. Confirm that no verification document has reached its own expiry since the last visit.
  5. Only then decide whether anything should be closed, edited or left exactly as it is.

The first four steps change nothing on the account. Every action in the fifth one does.

Frequently asked questions

Does an Exness account close itself if it is not used for a month?
No. The account stays open and no inactivity fee is charged for time spent without trading.
Do open positions stay open when nobody is signed in?
Yes. Positions are held on the broker servers rather than inside the platform on your device, so signing out or closing the program leaves them exactly as they were.
Can a pending order trigger while the account is unattended?
Yes. A pending order sits at its level on the server side and is acted on when the market reaches it, whether or not anyone is watching.
Does a verified account have to be verified again after a long break?
Approved verification stays approved. A document that has reached its own expiry date is a separate matter and is replaced from the Personal Area.
What does not happen unless somebody acts?
Closing or editing a trade, replacing a document that reached its expiry, changing a password, changing the mode of an account and opening an additional one. All of them are instructions and none of them are automatic.
Which figure is worth reading first after a long absence?
The margin level, because automatic closure is applied against it by the server regardless of when the account was last opened.
